Jesus, forget the 12th game and implement a playoff system. Why is this so difficult?

Schools would lose out money if they went to the playoff systems. Thats why they will never do it. Individual Bowl games and make a lot more money, plus Bowl sponsors do choose what teams they want to see. Not talking about the top four teams of course.

That's why they need to take a page from the NFL and share more of the profits. That way, they can still have their snotty bowl committees, big crowds and every school will make a little more cash.
The Rose Bowl won't do it, of course. So screw em. After 5 or 6 years and no hope of a meaningful game, all their poncy tradition will crumble. If a Big 10 school wants to play there for money instead of in the playoffs, screw them too. They won't finish the season higher than 9th.

It's all about the egos man. Bigger schools that are always in the top ten aren't going to give in to it. They aren't going to give up the chance for a national title in one game so that they have to go through all these other teams to get there. It's the reason why the NFL has divisions and NCAA goes with a ranking system. It will never happen man. NEVER!
